The project is based on a simplified approach from the field of behavioural science. Mankind is enabled to interact with a hitherto unknown entity – the Zoanthroid.

Nestled in a kinetic object, origins of evolutionary biology and media technology are set in relation. Ninety (90), kinetically moved tuning forks arranged in a circle, simulate tentacle-like feelers, that beckon the visitor through its organic movements and demand admiration from the beholder with its auditory appeal - yet at the same time not allowing him get too close.
The skeleton and the external organs are formed by metallic, the internal organs by electronic parts. The body of the Zoanthroids have a cylindrical base shape, as seen with their biological relatives; Hexacorallia Zoantharia. Limbs and body parts are constructed bilaterally.

Motor driven tentacles are raised and lowered in organic movements, lulling approaching prey with hypnotic-compelling wave-movements. Zoanthroids feed on human admiration.
Overheard information is given to the mesenteries where they are further processed and returned to the actuators as movement request types which take the form of waves varying in speed and direction. When converting external stimuli into electrical signals, and ultimately into physical (mechanical kinetic) movements, sounds form and are amplified by the resonant surface of the capitulum. Borne drivers growing on the underside of the capitulum, play at frequencies that enable the tuning forks to vibrate, thus revealing the excitement of the Zoanthroids.
